Process
The ITAD process in seven documented steps
No step without a document. This page shows what happens in each phase, who's involved, which record is produced, and what we need from you — so you can plan and approve the project internally.
01 · Assessment and quote
We clarify device types, quantities, locations, timing, security requirements, whether data may leave the building, and what evidence your audit needs. On that basis we calculate residual value and process costs.
You receive
- Binding quote with residual value indication
- Erasure concept per storage type
- NDA and data processing agreement
We need
- Asset list or a rough quantity
- Locations and contacts
- Your security and erasure requirements
02 · Containers and packaging
We deliver lockable containers or cartons to your site. On request we handle disassembly, decabling of racks, and removal of servers.
You receive
- Containers in the quantity needed
- Confirmed collection slot
We need
- Access, loading zone, lift dimensions
- Collection point for devices
03 · Documented collection
At handover, item counts or containers are jointly established, containers are locked (optionally with numbered tamper seals), and the protocol is countersigned. The documented chain of custody begins here.
You receive
- Signed handover protocol
- Confirmed count per container
We need
- An authorised signatory on site
04 · Goods receipt and asset logging
At receipt we verify containers and counts, then log every device with manufacturer, model, serial number and configuration. Discrepancies are reported in writing before processing continues.
You receive
- Receipt confirmation with stock check
- Complete asset list
- Discrepancy report
We need
- Your asset list for reconciliation, if desired
05 · Data erasure and verification
Erasure with the Securaze engine per the method defined for the storage type, followed by verification. Drives that fail are separated and physically destroyed.
You receive
- Erasure certificate per medium
- Destruction record for exceptions
We need
- Removed MDM enrolments and activation locks
06 · Diagnostics, grading and recovery
Technical diagnostics of all main components including battery health, visual grading, classification into Grade A to C. Condition then determines the route: remarketing, employee purchase, parts harvesting or recycling.
You receive
- Diagnostic report and grading per device
- Revenue statement per your model
We need
- Your excluded remarketing channels, if any
07 · Settlement and documentation package
At the end you receive a package that's audit-ready without follow-up questions: all protocols, all certificates, the revenue statement and sustainability metrics.
You receive
- Full documentation package
- Revenue statement or invoice
- Reuse rate and CO₂e evaluation

- Day 7–14: Collection per agreed window
- Day 14–21: Logging, erasure, verification

When it needs to move faster
Site closures and lease-end deadlines don't follow a comfortable schedule. Tell us the deadline — we'll say openly whether we can hit it.
